I got out of bed yesterday morning, and to my surprise and excitement, it was snowing! This was an epic surprise for me! A New Zealand boy growing up in a place where the closest thing to snow is a hail storm and now having snow all around me, was an epic and grand feeling, not in agreement with Håvard who obviously dislikes the snow, it makes for an interesting debate. I don't think this blog will be containing such warm feelings toward snow in two months time, but right now I am giddy as a flightless duck, bad example bu it is the first thing that came to my head, I have limited time.
One of the many trials and tribulations that I have come across that will happen one more time this year would have to be the Potliti test, an epic and trialing test! And with the helpful and encouraging words of Eirik Grøneng and Ragnar Hansen I made a good ammount of rounds totaling the number of thirty two! A six grade. I am stoked with that!
As I look out over the snow covered roofs and eat a brunost and blue berry jam sandwih I take the time to think of home and how my family are doing, I don't miss home because I know it will all be there when I get back, and my epic Norwegian adventure has only limited time so I am savouring the time I have here! It truely is an epic experience.
I loved the time I spent in Måløy about a week ago, It was a great and refreshing experience and a great way to meet the rest of the family. We went crab fishing and were very successful by my standards with a catch of fifty or so crabs and one lobster that was delicious! We also had a fun and rather interesting walk along the beach with the dogs. It was funny watching Stitch try on his moves with Paul Ottars dog Bonita. The size difference in the dogs was down right hilarious!
To the dissapointment of Paul Ottar and I there was no seagull blood spilt on the beach that day, we were hoping that Bonita, being a rather viciouse little dog would maybe try to kill a seagull. But with Stitches continuous attempts at mounting her, I think she had enough on her mind.
Darn. I think the snow is giving way to rain and I have been warned by friends that this will create slush and this is not good for the shoes, I guess I will be wearing the good old boots tomorrow. Oh well we will see.
Thats it I think. I am hungry.

Norway recap
Just as a atarting statement I have no idea how to write a blog and will most likely not be very consistent in writing. But to all of those people interested you can follow me.
Currently I am sitting in the breakroom on the sofas and I have just put my feet on the table. I feel as though I am intergrating rather well into the Norwegian way and things are going good and beginning to feel normal. I really wish I had begun a blog a little earlier so everyone knew my previous thoughts and feelings. I think I will take this time for some reflection on the events that have happened up until now.
The travel to Norway was a long and somewhat confusing experience and I am surprised I didn't end up missing my plane in Germany, but I got here. After arrival at Oslo intl. I had a moment to think about family and friends back home while sitting on the hard concrete ground and looking around and the wood and glass interior of the airport, we were waiting for a while for the Americans to arrive, and as soon as I saw the yellow shirts comming out of the arrival gate I was fully stoked and excited for the arrival camp! We were all packed on to a bus and taken to the conference hotel, I was rather scared of Noah and his fasination with my accent, and I knew we were going to be rather epic comrades. The arrival camp is all but a blir to me filled with fantastic memories of warm, friendly and like minded people, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget with many lifetime friends made. After the three days of fun and madness that ended in a wonderfull bittersweet goodbye to all of the great new friends that I had made, all overshadowed by the uncertainty of whether or not we will all meet again.
I had alot more on my mind on leaving, I was excited to meet my awesome new host family! And as I boarded the plane to Flørde airport from Oslo, I took another moment to think of my family and my friends back home and all of the new mates I had made, I boarded the plane and all of the thaughts seased, and I was fully looking forward to seeing my host family and knowing where I will be living for the rest of the year.
After a fifty minute plane ride and nearly shitting myself landing in Førde airport, which is conveniently placed between two mountains giving plane goers the entrancing sensation of plummiting to their deaths. I got off the plane and looked around for the entrance to the small building and as I walked to the door I saw my new mother for the year Heidi Rimmen wearing the classic bloodtrack attire and I knew straight away that I was comming to an awesome family! after an hour or so drive back to Eikefjord, I was insanely tired and needed sleep, but I was really excited to meet my whole family! Needless to say the Rimmens are an awesome loving family that I feel honoured to be a part of, I could not have got a better family.
Throughout my time here I have had ups and downs but mostly ups! And I have felt I have had to grow up very fast. Adapting to the changes in culture and language is really tiring but I keep trying every day. The only down I can think of is diving at halvhesten and then fearing for the life of my testicles a few days later. Don't worry everything is okay, but try asking me that in the car to Førde hospital after Heidi had told me that people sometimes need surgery after trauma to the nutsack! Thanks Heidi! haha
I really cannot say alot more. All of the elements are working against me my computer is screaming at me ''dårlig batteri!'' and I am not sure when my next class is. So I think this is the end of the recap segment of my blog. :)
Hade!
